AN INTRODUCTION TO ADVANCED DRIVING
Are you a full licence holder who wants to get more from their driving experience?

This course is based on Roadcraft, the advanced driver’s handbook. An initial practical assessment of your driving skills is followed by a 13 module online training course which you can complete at your own pace and will introduce you to the theory of Advanced Driving. There is a certificate of completion if you score at least 80% in the knowledge check at the conclusion of each module.
Once you have completed the theory, we then have four 1 to 1 practical sessions to put that knowledge into practice. We can use your own car or my training vehicle.
All driving takes place on public roads and within the speed limits. There are no exemptions. Advanced Driving is about being in the correct position, speed and gear and making safe and appropriate progress. If you assess the road and hazards correctly, you have more time to react and that reduces your risk.
If you then want to obtain a recognised qualification, you can contact the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) or the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) and sign up for one of their advanced driving assessments.
