"I did the Introduction to Advanced Driving course with Richard after a driving incident had left me lacking confidence. Richard was friendly, supportive and hugely reassuring, while still being very focused on improving safety and driving standards.

"We booked Richard for 3.5 hours to teach us driving skills for our motorhome as we had bought a 7.5 metre one.
Richard was absolutely exceptional both in terms of knowledge, driving skills and his experience was vast.
Richard adapted to meet our needs and helped with all types of manoeuvres especially difficult ones involving reversing, ability to manage tight spaces, motorway slip roads, rural narrow roads and urban roads.
Richard also taught me how to use driving aids and refreshing observational skills to make it more safe as well as easier to drive.
He was very thorough, professional and a pleasure to spend time with. After the session, I had more confidence on the road and was not as stressed.

"I had six refresher lessons with Richard to regain my confidence in driving.
He always started each session with a clear briefing about what we would cover, followed by time for questions, the actual driving practice, and a review at the end.
During the lessons, Richard gave clear instructions and was always encouraging.
One particularly helpful thing is that he always summarized each session and sent detailed notes afterward — incredibly useful, as it’s easy to miss things while driving since there’s so much to focus on.
I also used Google Street View to revisit the routes I drove and review the points Richard mentioned in his notes. This really helped me make progress, especially with planning, observation, and overall awareness on the road.

"I have a lot of driving anxiety, and contacted Richard for some refresher lessons to help me get back on the road after a very long break from driving. From our first phone call, and then during lessons, he was very patient, kind and reassuring. He was able to provide exactly the guidance and support I needed, and knew the best routes to take that would gently build my confidence. I found his tuition on parking and slip roads especially helpful, and my confidence was much improved after our lessons. I was intrigued by his background in road policing and found his knowledge and insights to be really helpful. He also gave me a demonstration of proper commentary driving, which was fascinating!
