Motorway and Dual Carriageway Training

One aspect of modern driving that many people find challenging is driving on a motorway or dual carriageway.

 

These "multi-lane" roads are actually the safest roads in the UK but there is a perception that because traffic  travels at higher speeds, there must be more risk involved.

• Vehicle safety checks prior to embarking on a multi-lane road journey

• Joining and exiting the carriageway safely

• Effective observation and planning 

• Anticipating the movement of other road users

• Safe positioning and lane discipline

• Safety procedures in the event of a mechanical breakdown or incident
